27 Self-Care Affirmations For a Positive Mindset Blog Post

Have you ever tried saying self-care affirmations or mantras to get you thinking straight? To help you gain a little control when feeling overwhelmed? I believe they can be very effective in helping you transform how you see and think of yourself. And just by practicing saying them regularly, you build a positive mental habit and positive mindset. They are truly essential in helping you condition your mind to help you gain a more positive outlook on life.

In order for affirmations to be beneficial, positive language is crucial! I really lean towards beginning mine with I AM, and not I AM NOT. This isn’t something that is supposed to make you feel badly later if you slip up. Or to create a feeling of lacking or not being enough.

It’s about gaining control of your own thoughts.

And it’s time to start taking the road less traveled. There isn’t much you can do to control the outside world, but you can create your own system to create happiness and control your emotional ties to negativity. So that no matter what kind of day you’re having or what mood you are in, you can still get your mind back on track and make the most out of your day.

Let’s cut the ties with positive self-care affirmations!

My self care is worth making time for.

I am smart, courageous and self confident.

I am patient and kind with myself and my progress.

I am an independent thinker, not a people pleaser.

I am top priority in my life.

I have every right to say no to anything that makes me feel uncomfortable.

I set healthy boundaries and take extra time to heal if needed.

I honor my intuition and use it as a guide.

I nurture my creative side, as much as my practical side.

I choose to live in the moment.

I am committed to my emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health.

I recommend trying some of these yourself, or even create your own! I’ve found that self-care affirmations are incredibly helpful when it comes to putting a stop to mental chatter and the dreaded mental spiral.

The key is consistency!

When feeling especially anxious or caught up in the mental chatter, pull out on of these mantras. A positive perspective will become your first thought more and more, and your brain will learn to counter your negative thoughts by quickly re-directing replacing with them with positive ones.
